JVC S700 series

I will start my first review with the JVC HA-S700, I will post a link to the unboxing video at the end of this.

Packaging

The headphones come in a full plastic package with little trinkets and folds at the top to make it more annoying for you to deal with. At the frong theres a whole lot of info to show off the product and then you see one of moniters on the other half to help advertise all the fancy features of the headphones.

It comes with the essentials. a 6.3 mm adaptor for stereo systems etc..warranty for and the cable is only 1.2 m long, JVC supplies you with a 2 metre extenshion cord for DJing and such.

Appearance

The S700s have 40 mm drivers so the actual size of the phone is going to be pretty large. The exterior of the headphones are very nice, sadly its all made of plastic, but so well put together that you have the confidence that if they were to ever fall, nothing would snap off or chip off. On the inside of the headphones, the earpads are made of memory foam and soft leather that does not harden in comparison to the Skullcandy Hesh phones. The band is made out of stainless steel according to the packaging and is quite strong, but that is sadly the only thing on the exterior that isn't plastic. And at the top of the band is a soft pad of leather that makes listening for a long time comfortable.

Sound

My part on sound is to most sound junkies, mediocre, i am slowly trying to move into the audiophile crowd but i still my ways to go with it. With that being said, this will be a short section of the review.

From what I have been able to tell from my standpoint the lows are tight but as the frequency begins to drop the headpones begin to lose detail and distort a little. the mids are warm and the highs are very nice leave alot of clarity.

Conclusion

For 70 dollars (CDN) this was a very good buy, one of the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned

Introduction

Seeing as this is my first ever blog, I'll start with a little introduction of myself and as to why I decided to do a blog now. Well first off, I am/was(tight budget at the moment) an mp3 player junky :P. I like to buy mp3 players test them out and then give away any that seem to be needed more by someone else I know.

I am a high school senior right now, trying to get into graphic design as a career, as well as reviewing mp3 players and some headphones and IEMs later in the future hopefully.

ill post an uboxing video of the JVC HA-S700 series headphones as a mark for my first post of hopefully many on mp3 player and headphone reviews. And hopefully if I review enough products I could get some recognition from companies to send me in some demo players to review and test out.
